This scheme was built on a brownfield site, formerly an elderly persons’ sheltered complex of flats, which were no longer popular with potential residents. As such, the scheme was redeveloped to provide 18 affordable homes for residents in the local area.
The development consists of sive one-bed flats, nine two-bed houses and three one-bed bungalows, developed by GEDA Construction Ltd of Kegworth, with NCHA being the project managers on behalf of Seven Locks Housing Ltd, a part of the Waterloo Housing Group.
All nominations for the tenancies come from Harborough District Council and Seven Locks Housing on the basis of housing need in accordance with their allocations policies.
The development was completed in October 2017, with the total value of the contract being £1,760,000.
