Elizabeth Close and Windsor Terrace is a development of 29 affordable homes on a brownfield site. The site was initially identified and acquired by Westleigh Partnerships Ltd, which also obtained planning consent and secured HCA funding of £725,000 for an affordable development (grant direct) at this location.
Once planning consent was in place, the site was purchased by Spire Homes, with Westleigh being the contractor for the development. A start on site was made in December 2015 on 19 one and two bedroom houses for affordable rent and 10 two and three bedroom houses for shared ownership. RG & P of Leicester were the architects for the scheme, with Longhurst Construction Services acting as Employer’s Agent. The scheme - which cost a total of £2.7 million - was completed in November 2016.
