One of our developments was recognised by the Local Authority Building Control (LABC), winning the award for the ‘Best Social or Affordable New Housing Development’.
The LABC is a non-profit organisation that represents all the local authority building control teams across England and Wales. Through our work with Waterloo Housing Group and Pelham Architects, by securing funding and purchasing the site, our Knights Close scheme located in Billesdon, Leicestershire, has been able to meet the need for affordable homes for local people, who may have otherwise struggled to remain within the community.
The development provides a mixture of one, two and three bedroom properties, creating a development, which is consistent with the architecture in the surrounding area.
Mike Price, Head Architect, comments: “We are really proud of this award and grateful to the local parish council for their help and support, it makes a great contribution to the entrance to this beautiful village. Geda have taken great care over interpreting our detailing and it’s a credit to their workforce.”
